B.L.B (Bad Little Boy)

Often left alone due to his struggling mother’s work schedule, Jahlil, a precocious young boy from the Bronx, spends most of his time roaming New York City’s transit system. Using the perks of life underground to his advantage, he soon discovers that the subway is no place for bad little boys… Featuring excerpts from the song “Symphony No.4 In B-Flat Major. 60. Adagio, Allegro vivace” by Ludwig Van Beethoven.

Curated in the form of a mixtape, Open City is a collection of short films about New York's inner city. Written, filmed, and directed by A.V. Rockwell, this ode to the cultural capital touches on a few of the eight million stories that give it life.
